Nicole Steacy (b. 1989, Pocono Mountains, PA) is an artist and designer based in Brooklyn, NY.

ABOUT NICOLE

Nicole received a BA in Design Art and Social Psychology from Lehigh University (2012). This led to her working in fashion with a celebrity stylist in New York City and a fair trade company in Ghana, before earning a MA in Art Education from New York University (2015). Nicole then taught Visual Art at a public high school in Brooklyn for 8 years. During this time she established Art of Steacy and completed a degree in Interior Design from University of California Los Angeles Extension (2023, Earned with Distinction). She now works as an interior designer at David Netto Inc.

With frequent road trips to the Pocono Mountains PA, Princeton NJ, Martha’s Vineyard MA and all about the Northeast — Nicole is continuously collecting candid experiences to use within her work.

ABOUT THE WORK

I paint candid scenes with a focus on nostalgia, capturing moments that quietly shape our personal and collective histories.
